The city in a nutshell:

Palma de Mallorca is the capital of Spain’s largest island. It’s a beautiful and fun (but also very touristy) holiday Destination and can be a good base to travel the rest of the island.

Where to stay:

Either near city centre or in the Western part if your priority is nightlife. Of course, it’s also possible not to stay in Palma itself and visit the City as a day trip.

The Good:

Mallorca’s largest city is a perfect getaway for a few days or even longer. It has some cool sights like the cathedral and a charming old town. There is a good range of superb restaurants, and nightlife in peak season is awesome. There are plenty of bars and nightclubs at the main strip. However, things tend to start late. Most of the venues are almost empty before 3 AM.

Generally, Mallorca offers a lot of things for everything. Even if Palma is nothing for you, it can be a good base to explore the rest of the Island.

The Bad & The Ugly:

Beach lovers should go to other places on the island. Another minus are the prices in bars and night clubs. Entrance to the famous Tito’s Nightclub was 30€ back in 2015.

The Island of Mallorca also draws the worst breed of tourists. Although they might go to other parts in Mallorca, such as Magaluf or El Arenal, it’s also possible to see drunk hordes of Brits, Germans and Russians in the capital of the Island.
