Vibrant city transforming from the old to the modern. And motorbikes. Many of them.

District 1.
The Good:
Ho Chi Minh City offers a good mixture of everything: sights, a lot of history, good restaurants, bars etc. and is very cheap. Most of the sights can be done just by walking. A trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are approximately an hour from HCMC, should be mandatory.
Interestingly, I made the experience that people prefer Ho Chi Minh City over Hanoi, when they started their Vietnam trip in HCMC. And vice versa.
The Bad & The Ugly:
Traffic is like in every Vietnamese city a nightmare and takes a lot of courage from the pedestrians. Nightlife is disappointing for a city as big as Ho Chi Minh City.
